Windows Embedded Compact 7 正式对外宣布

6月1日，儿童节，或许对我们是一个已经非常遥远的日子。但是对于嵌入式的开发人员来说，它是一个大日子，因为今天在台北的COMPUTEX大展上微软正 式公布了其嵌入式产品线最新的一员，Windows embelded Compact 7。

Windows embelded Compact 7的前身就是家喻户晓的Windows embelded CE（简称WinCE）系统了，不过现在随着版本号的升级它改名为Windows embelded Compact 7。当然，同样是代号为7的产品，微软的另外两个重量级产品Windows 7以及Windows Phone 7现 在也是炙手可热。前者在短短的时间内取得了不俗的销量，后者则是微软革命性的移动终端设备。而且，更重要的是，Windows Phone 7它是基于Windows embelded Compact 7 Core所开发的。

对，你没有看错，后面还有一个Core字。在以前我们都知道Windows Mobile平台它是基于Win CE平台而定制出来的一个子品牌/产品。那么现在，Windows Phone 7和Windows embelded Compact 7只是共用了同一个内核。不知道这次Windows embelded Compact 7的问世是否会像Windows Phone 7那样给人耳目一新的感觉呢？至于微软官方对于Windows embelded Compact 7的特点，则概括为（为了保持原汁原味，不翻译了）： 

Rich and connected experiences for consumers. Windows embelded Compact 7 gives consumers the ability to share and manage content across networked devices with Digital Living Network Alliance, such as new HDTVs, and a new media library.

Simplified access to information for enterprise users. Windows embelded Compact 7 makes it easier to connect to corporate e-mail, calendar and contacts over enterprise networks through Microsoft AirSync and Microsoft Exchange, as well as to Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF viewers to access important documents, and to Windows 7 Device Stage to transfer data and media between PCs and devices.

Resources for hardware manufacturers and developers. Windows embelded Compact 7 provides resources to help bring high-performing, highly reliable and differentiated specialty devices to market quicker with support for multicore and the latest asset relationship management-bbsed architecture and tools, including Platform Builder, Visual Studio, espression Blend and Silverlight for Windows embelded.
